The Holidays Are Almost Upon Us....

It is almost that time of the year, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

The Holidays can be extremely difficult and stressful for traumatized children and their caregivers. For many, the Holidays trigger memories of loss, abandonment, abuse and neglect, and result in disruptive behaviors. Although we strive to make the Holidays a warm and joyful time for the children in our care kids, we can’t do it without the generous support of individuals and businesses in our community.

We invite you to participate in our Holiday programs:

  • Hope & Healing Campaign

Make a gift to our Hope & Healing Campaign and ensure that children and families have access to the vital services they need. Make donations to the Denver Children's Home on Giving Tuesday (a national day of giving the Tuesday after Thanksgiving) and Colorado Gives Day on December 4th. You may schedule donations for Colorado Gives Day starting November 1st so that your pledge will be sure to get to DCH on December 4th. Monetary donations are the number one need currently as they allow us to provide quality therapeutic interventions, schooling, and treatment for kids who need it the most!

  • Adopt A ... Family

We provide wish lists for the families of the children in our care (each family member gets 3 wishes) and you provide the gifts. Please reach out Craig Erbstoesser, Development Associate, to receive a Family Wish List.

  • Adopt A ... Classroom, Dorm, Therapy Studio, The Home

Receive a wish list and provide much-needed supplies and equipment for our classrooms, dorms, and therapy spaces. Please reach out Craig Erbstoesser, Development Associate to receive a Wish List or use our Amazon Wish List for General Needs for the Home.

Denver Children's Home distributes gifts to over 500 low income families via the Denver Santa Claus Shop. All of the gifts are provided by caring donors. Please reach out Sarah Friedman, Development Director, to receive the Community Wish List. To receive a voucher to get gifts for children, please call 303-399-4890 x274 starting November 5th.

  • Holiday Gift Card Drive

Gift cards are an easy way to provide a meal, an outing or needed supplies. We gratefully accept gift cards for VISA/AmEx, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, grocery stores, craft stores, Subway, pizza, movies, etc.

Cook a holiday meal at Denver Children's Home, host a holiday party for kids and staff, sponsor a holiday-themed outing, run in the Christmas Carol Classic on December 22 benefiting Denver Children's Home, or shop using Amazon Smile

Thanks to several generous groups, most of our kids are adopted this year. If you'd like to adopt a kid and provide their 5 wishes, we gratefully accept back up gifts (just in case) that we can also use throughout the year as good behavior incentives, birthday gifts and more. Please reach out to Sarah Friedman, Development Director, to receive a Child's Wish List.

We ask that if you adopt a family, you commit to purchasing all of the items for each person. We want to make sure that all of their wishes are fulfilled.

We are accepting donations anytime during business hours until 12/10/18. We will also have drop off available from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, December 8th. Gifts as well as gift cards and cash and check donations may be dropped off at 1501 Albion St (Main Building). Please label your gifts so we know who the recipient is (or the dorm, community., therapy space, etc.) and be sure to complete a donation form at drop off. Gifts should be new, in original packaging, and unwrapped.

We also gratefully accept wrapping paper and supplies.

Happy Holidays!!!!!!!
